Promote natural resource management

(estimated beneficiaries 325 HHs (75 FHHs))

Mobilise and enhance awareness on rehabilitation of degraded land, proper utilization, conservation and management of natural resources among
Gada leaders (70 persons )of religious and community based local institutions and individuals (36 kebele administrator an managers)
Conduct 12 Community mobilization sensitization on environment for 175 HHs in 5 rural kebele
Forming environmental clubs in 10 target kebele and 10 rural schools and also organise user groups on management and rehabilitation of the area closure
Establish 5 multi-purpose tree nurseries owned by community groups
Provide tree seeds (100kg) & hand tools (shovel, spade, rake, wheel barrow, meter, shovel, bush knife, hoe, watering can, digging bar, pruning scissors) for owners of multi-purpose nursery
Train 500 community members on NRM & soil & water conservation (SWC) for 7 days
Planting tree seedling on communal and physical soil and water conservation measures under supervision of abba Gadaa
Enclose & rehabilitate 15 ha degraded communal land under the supervision of Abba Gada
