Learn more about our mission, programs, and how we create impact.

We support several interconnected causes aimed at tackling poverty in rural Ethiopia. This includes improving food security and livelihoods for women and youth, promoting environmental sustainability, providing functional adult education, enhancing livestock health, increasing access to clean water, and peace building.

We focus our work on rural pastoralist and agro-pastoralist lowland areas that have been identified as having significant development needs. Our approach is guided by our cardinal principle of community participation, where we work with local groups to identify, prioritize, and implement projects.

We measure our impact through both quantitative and qualitative data. This includes tracking key metrics like the number of individuals trained, Self-Help Groups formed, and tree seedlings planted. We also assess the long-term improvement in community well-being, economic stability, and self-reliance.

Yes, collaboration is a core principle of our work. We partner with local and national government bodies, community-based organizations, and domestic and international development organizations to ensure our efforts are coordinated and sustainable.

For the safety and privacy of the communities we serve, impromptu visits are not possible. However, we do arrange scheduled visits for our official partners and major donors. If you are interested in a site visit, please contact our Executive Director to discuss the possibility.
